In the afternoon, everyone meets at the soccer field and together fly dozens of colorful and happy kites into the sky over the nearby perimeter fence to Gaza with messages of hope and peace.  There was always curiosity as to what this year's big theme kite created by Aviv and Livnat would be, with a central message on it. At one time, it was Shimon Peres with hope for peace, And once a kite with the figures of the soldiers in captivity in Gaza - which called to bring the boys home. And as the explosive balloons that came from Gaza multiplied in recent years, so did the kites from Kfar Gaza, and the message is clear - you will fly burning balloons with the aim of killing, we will fly kites hoping for peace. The event which was planned to take place on Saturday did not happen. At this point, news began to arrive about terrorists infiltrating the kibbutz. At a relatively early stage, contact with the family was lost. No one answered. Aviv's parents, who were themselves besieged on another side of the kibbutz, were unable to contact them. All attempts to send someone to check what is happening with them were unsuccessful. It was impossible to get close to their neighborhood in a kibbutz where many terrorists roamed, and there were endless shots. The terrible picture became apparent only after many hours.
