Little Sister Guitar project

Here's a little gem for you - it’s a Guitar project that started last year when my second daughter was born (so I named this guitar: "Little Sister").

Each night I play ragtime blues from the 20's and 30's by The Blues greats like Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill Broonzy, Rev. Gary Davies and others.

Iv'e actually found and restored many vintage instruments from the era such as rare Gibsons and many fine instruments that were made by the original Oscar Shcmidt company in the 1920's 1920's played by these maestro bluesmen.

When I have decided to learn the art and craft of guitar making I made a research regarding the style, technique and materials that were used at that time.The result is a special guitar made according to the specifications of one of my favorite vintage instruments and contains many features of the era such as slotted headstock with a "V" shaped neck, small parlor style body, vintage style tailpiece and many other features that sum up the golden era of the guitar from the late 19th century until the 50's. I hope to finish the guitar by the end of this month, in the meantime enjoy the photos!
