Tomorrow we commemorate the holiday of Shavuot in Israel.
Shavuot, one of the significant holidays in the Jewish
calendar, is deeply connected to the concept of abundance.
Therefore, we decided to dedicate this newsletter to
Abundance as it unfolds across diverse cultural traditions
and esoteric philosophies.

Abundance and Shavuot Holiday
Shavuot has a historical significance as an agricultural
festival. Originally known as the "Feast of Weeks,"
Shavuot is celebrated seven weeks after Passover, which
aligns with the end of the wheat harvest in ancient
Israel. Thus, this holiday marks a time of bounty and
gratitude for the successful harvest, underpinning the
concept of abundance.
The concept of abundance in Shavuot is also symbolized
through its spiritual significance as the commemoration of
the revelation of the Torah at Mount Sinai. The Torah is
considered the spiritual sustenance for Jewish life, an
endless source of wisdom and guidance. Just as the end of
the wheat harvest is seen as a time of physical abundance,
the receiving of the Torah signifies spiritual abundance.
In both facets, Shavuot ties together the themes of
material and spiritual prosperity, expressing a sense of
gratitude and joy in the face of plenty.
Kabbalah SHEFA
In Kabbalah, the mystical tradition of Judaism, Abundance
is deeply intertwined with the concept of "Shefa," a
Hebrew word that translates roughly to divine flow or
bounty. This idea posits that an unlimited flow of
spiritual and material blessings descends from the Ein Sof
(Infinite Divine Source) to the physical world. This flow,
however, is not automatic or guaranteed. It is believed
that the individual's spiritual and ethical actions play a
critical role in attracting and channelling Shefa. Acts of
kindness, studying Torah, and adherence to mitzvot
(commandments) are considered ways to "draw down" this
divine abundance. Importantly, Kabbalah teaches that this
divine abundance is not merely to be received passively,
but should be actively shared, reflecting the endless
giving nature of the divine source itself.
Sri Yantra
The Sri Yantra is a complex geometrical symbol used in
Hindu Tantra that represents the cosmos and the human
body. It is often associated with abundance in both the
material and spiritual sense. The symbol is believed to
embody the energy of the universe, which includes the
potential for abundance in all aspects of life. Each of
the interlocking triangles and lotus petals in the Sri
Yantra represents different aspects of existence,
consciousness, and the divine, all of which contribute to
the richness of life. It's seen as a tool to remove
obstacles, fulfill desires, and bring a sense of overall
balance and abundance in one's life.

Horn of Venus
The design of the Talisman comes from the famous
16th-century Magus John Dee, who was a Philosopher,
Astrologer, Alchemist and adviser to Queen Elizabeth I.
In a Magical text entitled “The Little Book of Black
Venus,” Dee gives this complicated design for a Venus
Talisman, with many sigils of her spiritual hierarchy. He
then gives a very long and elaborate ritualistic protocol
for the creation of this Talisman while also using a real
bull’s horn. In our creation, I will create a silver or
gold horn-shaped Talisman and follow the ancient
traditional methods and consecrate this Talisman under the
Venusian election stated above.

Spica the Abundance Fixed Star
The Star Spica is probably one of the most famous fixed
stars known for its abundant beneficial and protective
powers. This star is also called Alpha Virginis, as it is
the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo the
Maiden. Spica is a binary star, which means it is really
two stars larger and hotter than the sun, together, they
look like a single point of (blue) light, even when
looking through an average telescope.
The name Spica means “ear,” as it is in the “ear of wheat”
in the Virgo constellation. The association with
agriculture, wheat and harvest is very old. For the
Egyptians, the Virgo constellation was associated with the
goddess Isis, and Spica was the bearer of harvest. As Isis
is a fertile, life-creating goddess, Spica symbolizes the
fruits of her life energy that she bestows on nature and
man. Virgo is also associated with Ceres, the Greek
goddess of the harvest.
